Who Pulled the Trigger on Charlie Kirk?

United States: The Federal Bureau of Investigation has circulated two sharp images of a newly identified figure in the sudden assassination of conservative orator Charlie Kirk, who was fatally struck by a sniper’s bullet on Wednesday during a campus lecture at Utah Valley University.

The captured frames portray a gaunt man clad in denim trousers, a jet-black long-sleeved shirt emblazoned with an American flag motif, dark shades shielding his eyes, and a brimmed cap.

Within hours, the Bureau escalated matters, unveiling a reward of $100,000 for leads that could unmask and deliver into custody those behind the killing.

“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah,” the Salt Lake City field office declared on X, according to Fox News.

By Thursday morning, investigators had pieced together the shooter’s getaway trail and seized a high-powered bolt-action rifle. Robert Bohls, Special Agent in Charge, revealed they also recovered impressions from feet, palms, and forearms tied directly to the crime scene.

This revelation followed confusion after authorities twice detained individuals, only to release them when evidence failed to link them to the assassination.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. local time—barely twenty minutes after Kirk began his remarks—a single gunshot echoed across the campus green, according to a university spokesperson.

Radio transmissions captured chilling detail:

“He’s going to be wearing all black, black long gun, black tactical helmet, a black mask, possibly wearing a tactical vest and jeans,” a dispatcher’s voice rang out over the emergency channel.

Authorities believe the assailant infiltrated the rooftop by scaling a stairwell inside a campus facility at around 11:52 am. Kirk’s session began promptly at noon. After pulling the trigger, the killer vaulted off the opposite side of the structure, vanishing into a nearby neighborhood, where law enforcement combed for surveillance footage.

Kirk, just 31 years old, was not only a father of two but also the founder of Turning Point USA. He succumbed swiftly to his injuries. A disturbing video depicts the moment the bullet struck him, his body crumpling as chaos rippled through the audience. Attendees shrieked, scrambled, and scattered for safety, while other recordings captured a shadowy figure shifting atop a rooftop directly across from the podium.

The scale of the event underscored the tragedy. Utah Valley University, with a student population topping 40,000, hosted roughly 3,000 attendees for the speech. An organizer disclosed to Fox News Digital that more than 1,400 formal RSVPs had been logged, with many traveling across state lines to witness Kirk live.

Ellen Treanor, associate vice president of communications at UVU, confirmed, “At about 12:20 shots were fired from a building about 200 yards from the speaker. To the best of our knowledge, the individual was hit and was taken away immediately by his security personnel,” as per Fox News.

The first public acknowledgment of Kirk’s death came not from local officials but from President Donald Trump, who eulogized the fallen speaker on Truth Social:

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

The hunt continues for the assassin whose bullet ended a life and set off a storm of grief, rage, and questions.
