United States: Google (GOOGL.O) on Monday erased obscene remarks about McDonald’s (MCD.N) after Murphy and Isaccson declared law and order suspect in the killing of UnitedHealth (UNH.N) executive Brian Thompson arrested at a McDonald’s restaurant in Altoona, Pennsylvania, a customer said a local employee.
McDonald’s Location Hit by Review Bombing
They were among thousands of reviews that followed the practice of review bombing, especially targeting McDonald’s foundation from a political perspective or an unrelated event, as reported by Reuters.
In this case, the negative and one-star reviews appeared after Luigi Mangione, 26, was apprehended at McDonald’s in Altoona. He was caught on camera eating at the restaurant by a patron who reported the man to a McDonald’s worker, according to state police.
“These reviews violate our policies and have been removed,” a Google spokesperson said in an emailed statement.
As per the guideline, review contributions “should reflect a genuine experience at a place or business,” and “content that has been posted from multiple accounts to manipulate a place’s rating” will be eliminated.
“This location has rats in the kitchen that will make you sick, and your insurance isn’t going to cover it,” one review said.

Police Detail Events Leading to Arrest
Thompson, 50, was killed from behind by a masked man outside a Manhattan hotel at around 6 in the morning on Wednesday as if the attacker was expecting the arrival of the executive.
The suspect fled the scene of the crime and then cycled into Central Park. The CCTV footage shows him leaving the park and getting into a taxi, then heading to a bus station in northern Manhattan, where the police suspected that he had boarded a bus out of the city. The police stated that Thompson seemed to have been attacked intentionally, as reported by Reuters.
The suspect was arrested after the police had conducted a five-day search for him.
